Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum error-correcting codes, fault-tolerant protocols, and decoding algorithms •
- Develop and benchmark simulations to evaluate QEC performance and scalability •
- Build and maintain robust software libraries for QEC and integrate them into broader systems •
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and research teams to bring QEC into practice •
- Track record of scientific publications in quantum error correction or related areas Why IQM? •
Requirements
- As a Senior/Staff Quantum Error Correction Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing the core technology behind IQM’s quantum computers.
- Solid programming skills (Python) and
- experience with quantum tools (e.g., Stim, Qiskit) •
- Experience with QEC codes, fault-tolerant protocols, or decoding algorithms •
- Experience building scalable algorithms or prototype systems •
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and collaborate across teams •
- MSc or PhD in a relevant field (PhD preferred), with several years of
- experience in QEC or related research •
