Responsibilities
- Coach, guide, and evaluate Local Training Standards Leads to maintain consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on regional OKRs, KPIs, and performance metrics related to instructor qualifications, observation programmes (IPPM/DOI), audit findings, and training quality.
- Identify regional trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations to the Global Head of Standards.
- Oversee delivery of Civil Global IDT and other instructor training activities, ensuring alignment in courseware, methodology, and delivery standards.
- Develop and facilitate structured regional governance, ensuring effective communication between Local Training Standards Leads, Training Standards Specialists, Training Managers, Centre Leaders, and global leadership.
- Support efficiency in instructor time to qualification by collaborating with Operations to align business needs, regulatory requirements, and training delivery.
- Promote a regional culture of excellence, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the Standards community. Manage
Requirements
- ⠀ Join our Business Aviation Training Centre in Vienna (Schwechat) as Regional Training Standards Manager , supporting CAE’s global Civil Aviation Training team.
- Qualifications Hold or have held an EASA ATPL or CPL licence.
- Hold or have held either: FAA instructor certificate, or Part-FCL instructor certificate (EASA), or Equivalent 900(c) qualification aligned with ATO training courses.
- experience delivering or managing instructor training within an ATO and/or AOC environment. Extensive
- experience in training MPA pilots for professional licences and/or associated ratings.
- Experience in Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Crew Resource Management (CRM).
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., Part-FCL/ORA, CFR Part 61, 135, 142).
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and develop training leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret performance data (OKRs, KPIs, audits).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across global and regional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work across cultures, time zones, and diverse training environments. Preferred
- Experience across multiple domains (e.g., BAT, CAT, FTO).
- Experience supporting multiple business units and managing complex training ecosystems. Proven ability to implement and harmonise global standardisation policies across diverse environments.
- Experience in regional or multi-site leadership roles. Strong capability in influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic initiatives. Demonstrated
