Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

  • Determine methods and sequences of assembly/integration operations where complete information may not be readily available.

Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced working with and from Engineering sketches/diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
  • May participate in device(s) teardown, removal, and/or a part of the site installation team, which would require travel to field installation sites, possibly overseas (passport required), for up to six (6)-eight (8) weeks or so at a time.
  • experience with, Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Requirements High school diploma at minimum, with 2–5+ years of welding or structural fabrication experience;
  • experience in aerospace, defense, or simulator manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding processes; ability to pass a weld test.
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work in various positions as required for large assemblies.
  • Current passport is desired at start and will be required for overseas travel (when scheduled to support).
  • Must be able to work for long periods of time standing, stooping and bending, and also lifting up to forty (40) to fifty (50) pounds, with no limitations/restrictions.
  • Must either have a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or higher level, or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance without any concerns or issues.
  • experience to support the production of simulators and training systems by fabricating high- precision structural assemblies, motion platforms, and support components.
  • Prior work on fullmotion or fixedbase simulator structures (military or commercial).
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, electromechanical, or 6DOF motion systems.
  • Experience in a DoD or ITARregulated manufacturing environment. Basic mechanical assembly skills to support integration activities. Security
  • Must be able to climb and work from ladders.
