Logistics Assistant II

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all hazmat shipments are properly identified, packaged and documented.
  • Process shipments in MRP and identify any clear any issues that may impact shipment confirmation.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize logistics tasks per customer needs in a complex and dynamic environment, supporting the needs of multiple programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments and on-time-delivery to customers, prioritizing request to meet critical deadlines and program timelines.

  • Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 1-2 years of
  • experience in logistics or supply chain management within regulated environment (aerospace, defense) Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with government contracts or defense-related programs preferred. Proven
  • experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software systems (Oracle) Other
  • Qualifications & Desired Competencies: Familiarity with export compliance and international shipping regulations.
  • Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
