Qualifications: Master's degree in electrical engineering with 8 years'
experience or a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years'
experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics can be considered instead of a master's degree.
Experience designing high speed digital electronics including the use of ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors, and communications drivers.
Experience designing and conducting analysis of analog circuits including low-noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools (such as Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, HyperLynx, and MS Office).
Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.
Qualifications: Understanding of space qualification standards and requirements.
Experience designing custom electronics for space products.
Experience with analysis necessary for high reliability space electronics hardware (Electrical stress analysis, worst case circuit analysis and reliability analysis).
Experience and understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.
Experience producing board layouts is a plus. Understanding of relevant IPC standards needed for electrical design and fabrication.
Experience leading sub-assemblies or circuit card designs with small teams of two or three.
Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub-assemblies along with design of special test equipment (STE).
Experience developing design and verification documentation (Interface Control Document/Drawings (ICD), Design Description Document (DDD), Test Plan, Test Procedures, Test Reports, etc.).
Written and verbal communication skills necessary to present designs to internal and external stakeholders.
Physical Demands: Ability to work in an office and production environment (Constant) Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent) ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
