Job Summary Provides legal advice to clients on complex regulatory matters, with an emphasis on utility law.
Supports NIPSCO and NIPSCO Generation LLC (GenCo) in execution of regulatory strategy and associated filings related to large load customers (e.g., data centers), as well as customer negotiations of related agreements.
Essential Functions Resolves legal issues and provides proactive, business-savvy legal advice and counsel.
Retains and supervises/manages outside counsel on select matters.
Anticipates internal/external business and regulatory issues and provides applicable legal advice.
Reviews and revises legal documents, such as regulatory applications, supporting testimony, legal briefs, and proposed orders.
Negotiates with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes, including energy services agreements/special contracts.
Assists in advising and training clients on legal issues, including preparation of clients to serve as regulatory witnesses.
