Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure maximum simulator availability and reliability.
- Perform visual alignments, calibration activities, and system performance checks.
- Execute, analyse, and evaluate Qualification Test Guide (QTG) and Approval Test Guide (ATG) procedures.
- Lead and coordinate technical activities during shifts in collaboration with the Group Leader, Maintenance Planner, and Technical Management team.
- Support engineering projects involving hardware modifications, software updates, and simulator upgrades.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAE's maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with CASA, OEM, customer, and CAE quality and safety requirements.
- Support customer operations and contribute to the resolution of technical issues affecting training delivery.
- Make technical and operational decisions during periods where management is not present to ensure continuity of simulator operations. Qualifications &
Requirements
- The Role CAE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Simulator Technician III to join our team at our Sydney Training Centre in St Peters, NSW .
- Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: A technical trade qualification, diploma, degree, or equivalent technical training in electronics, electrical, mechanical, aviation, or a related discipline.
- experience in simulator maintenance, aviation maintenance, defence systems, industrial automation, or a comparable technical environment.
- Experience using test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one major simulator system such as: Motion systems Visual systems Aircraft systems Computer or network infrastructure experience match the
