Responsibilities
- Manage commercial, civil, and regulatory disputes from early-stage conflict through resolution, working closely with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Advise on litigation risk and strategy to support informed business decision-making.
- Resolve matters efficiently through negotiation, settlement, or litigation when necessary.
- Monitor and advise on adherence to applicable laws and regulations affecting CLEAR’s secure identity business, including its aviation, identity verification, and biometric technology offerings.
- Support the company’s response to regulatory developments and help translate legal
- Monitor and advise on adherence to the Code of Conduct & Ethics and other internal policies.
- Develop and oversee compliance programs, training, and reporting mechanisms.
- Conduct internal investigations and help ensure appropriate remediation and reporting.
Requirements

- experience in litigation, regulatory law, and/or compliance at a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
- Juris Doctor and membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and drive collaborative solutions.

- The base salary range for this role is $225,000 - $275,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.
- The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position.
- Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills,
- experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.

- CLEAR’s Legal team is seeking an experienced and talented attorney to help manage commercial and regulatory litigation, oversee corporate and operational compliance, and support other aspects of CLEAR’s secure identity business, including its consumer aviation product (CLEAR+), B2B secure identity platform (CLEAR1), and TSA PreCheck enrollment service.
- This newly created Senior Corporate Counsel, Litigation, Regulatory & Compliance role will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer & Head of Litigation & Regulatory, and will play a key role supporting CLEAR’s continued growth. What you'll do:
- Engage with regulators and government partners as needed in connection with inquiries, disputes, and regulatory matters.
- Disputes and regulatory matters are managed strategically and efficiently, with strong outcomes, effective oversight of outside counsel, and appropriate control of legal spend.
- CLEAR maintains strong compliance with applicable laws, regulations, the Code of Conduct & Ethics, and internal policies through practical, well-implemented compliance programs, training, and reporting mechanisms.
- Regulatory risks are identified early and translated into clear, actionable guidance that enables the business to innovate and grow responsibly.
- Internal investigations and sensitive matters are handled promptly, thoroughly, and with sound judgment, maintaining trust with leadership, employees, and regulators.
