Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a global PR strategy that reinforces IQM’s leadership in full stack quantum computing infrastructure. •
- Own and evolve IQM’s external narrative, translating complex technical milestones into clear and credible stories. •
- Build and manage relationships with leading US and international journalists across deep tech, semiconductor, HPC, and enterprise media. •
- Drive proactive media coverage around system deployments, research breakthroughs, partnerships, and product launches. •
- Prepare executives and technical leaders for media interviews, briefings, and conference appearances. •
- Lead thought leadership initiatives including contributed articles, expert commentary, and the amplification of IQM’s annual flagship report. •
- Build relationships with technology analysts and support IQM’s inclusion in market research and technology landscape reports. •
- Coordinate closely with Marketing, Engineering, Research, and Legal to ensure messaging accuracy and consistency. •
- Monitor global media coverage and analyst sentiment while supporting reputation and crisis communications readiness. Requirements •
Requirements
- IQM provides both on-premises full-stack quantum computers and a cloud platform to access its computers anywhere in the world.
- As Senior Communications Manager, you lead the global public relations strategy that positions IQM as a deep tech leader in quantum computing infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. • Extensive
- experience in PR, corporate communications, or strategic communications in deep tech, big tech, advanced computing, quantum computing, or scientific industries. •
- Experience managing PR agencies and delivering measurable communications outcomes. • Prior
- experience leading or managing communications professionals. •
- Ability to operate confidently in high visibility communications situations and cross functional environments. What sets you apart •
- Background in quantum computing, semiconductors, photonics, cryogenics, HPC, or related deep tech fields. •
- Experience working with research institutions, government stakeholders, or national technology programs. •
- Familiarity with the US national lab ecosystem or European quantum initiatives. •
- Experience in a high growth startup or pre-IPO technology company. •
- Experience supporting major company moments such as product launch, strategic partnership, or market milestone.
