Responsibilities
- Support medication access and affordability through patient advocacy, financial coordination, and assistance program facilitation.
- Manage inventory, billing, and regulatory compliance across multiple pharmacy sites and clinical departments.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely medication delivery, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient service.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE OR BE READY TO OBTAIN VA REGISTRY The Pharmacy Technician II Processes and fills prescriptions (retail, mail order, specialty, infusion).
- experience as a pharmacy technician and
- experience in relevant practice setting. What We Require: Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.
- Successful completion of Pharmacy Service Line competencies within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certified Board Certification relevant to work area is required within 6 months of hire. Other Minimum
- Qualifications: Must be able to maintain familiarity with a large number (1000-2000) of medications and focused on attention to detail/accuracy.
- Requires knowledge and use of general office equipment and procedures, including computer/keyboard.
- Must be able to solve simple mathematical and logistical problems in the work environment.
Experience
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience required.

- Performs sterile IV admixture and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines.
- Maintains compounding equipment and documentation.
- Orders, receives, and stores medications and supplies.
- Evaluates backorders and assist with shortage resolution.
- Maintains cost-accounting records and inventory levels.
- Monitors controlled substance usage and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintains pharmacy records for regulatory compliance.
- Reviews medication error and adverse drug reaction reports.
