Responsibilities
- Manage a rapidly growing team of engineers developing user-facing Mapping experiences
- Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team members.
- Build teams that are collaborative, inclusive, and respectful of each other
- Create plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges in your organization
- Maintain a balance between building sustainable, high-impact projects and shipping things quickly
- Own your team’s deliverables and ensure we continue to ship high-quality products that delight our passengers and drivers
Requirements
- We build and scale systems that deal with large data storage, real-time data processing, machine / deep learning pipelines, routing and ETA models, driver and passenger location tracking, and more.
- Bachelors, Masters in Computer Science or at least 7 years of industry
- Experience with leading software engineering teams through tough problems, growing people and shipping software •
- Experience leading a team that shipped a mobile product with millions of users
- Previous experience as a software engineer
- Ability to decompose complex business problems and lead a team in solving them in a fast-paced but also rigorous fashion

- The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $216,000 - CAD $270,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
