Senior Engineering Manager, Mapping

Responsibilities

Manage a rapidly growing team of engineers developing user-facing Mapping experiences
Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team members.
Build teams that are collaborative, inclusive, and respectful of each other
Create plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges in your organization
Maintain a balance between building sustainable, high-impact projects and shipping things quickly
Own your team’s deliverables and ensure we continue to ship high-quality products that delight our passengers and drivers

We build and scale systems that deal with large data storage, real-time data processing, machine / deep learning pipelines, routing and ETA models, driver and passenger location tracking, and more.
Bachelors, Masters in Computer Science or at least 7 years of industry
Experience with leading software engineering teams through tough problems, growing people and shipping software •
Experience leading a team that shipped a mobile product with millions of users
Previous experience as a software engineer
Ability to decompose complex business problems and lead a team in solving them in a fast-paced but also rigorous fashion

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $216,000 - CAD $270,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
