Requirements

- experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud operations, release engineering or production support roles. Strong hands-on
- experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft technology stack environments.
- Working knowledge of Azure Synapse and data platform operations.
- Strong SQL knowledge, including the ability to investigate data issues and review stored procedure changes.
- Working knowledge of Unix / Linux for operational support, log review and troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting tools to support platform reliability and operational performance.
- Basic awareness of Microsoft Fabric is desirable, particularly where platforms may transition from Synapse to Fabric in future.
- Basic scripting or coding capability to support automation, troubleshooting and technical investigation.
- Experience with containerisation and cloud-native architectures is desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Experiences you’ve had that will help you succeed Demonstrated
- experience working in a high-volume and demanding professional environment, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work with a customer-focused approach.
- Experience supporting production systems, operational platforms and business-critical applications in an enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting DevOps activities across application, data and analytics platforms.
- Experience managing deployments and code promotion across Dev, QA, UAT and Production environments.
- Experience taking handover from developers, data engineers and QA teams to support releases, production fixes and platform changes.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release validation and production readiness activities.
- Experience investigating SQL, stored procedure, data pipeline and production data availability issues.
- Understanding of the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle and how changes move from development through to production support.
- Experience collaborating with operations, developers, data engineers, QA, project teams and business stakeholders to support issue resolution and production changes.
- Experience in Retail Media, Retail, Wholesale, FMCG, Supply Chain or similar business environments is desirable. The behaviors and attributes that will help you succeed Adaptability
