Responsibilities
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team members to support patient care.
Requirements
- Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with organizational standards. What We Require: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or other imaging specialty required. Experience: None.
- Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: ARRT registry or registry eligible required.
- Additional modality-specific certifications required based on assigned area.
- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area. Other Minimum

- The Radiologic Technologist Inpatient Two Skills performs multi-modality diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient care.
- This role utilizes advanced technical skills, clinical judgment, and specialized equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation. The Two Skills Inpatient Radiologic Technologist Supports Carilion Clinic’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality in all job responsibilities.
- Performs imaging procedures across multiple modalities to support diagnostic and treatment needs.
- Operates specialized imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepares, positions, and monitors patients to ensure safety and image quality.
- Administers contrast media and performs additional procedures as required.
- Utilizes computer systems for scheduling, registration, image processing, and documentation.
- Maintains compliance with imaging policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in training and orientation of students and staff.
- Supports a safe environment and adheres to radiation safety standards.
