Class A CDL Driver- Day Route

Responsibilities

Drive routes to and from our Rochester hub to receive product from brands while supporting day hauls to our other NY locations.
Perform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with company SOPs and OSHA standards
Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips
Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary

Nabis is seeking a qualified Class A CDL Warehouse Driver to run pickup routes to brands as well as routes between Nabis hubs. This person must have at least 2 years of
experience as a reputable, trustworthy driver and be able to communicate in a timely and professional manner with our Nabis dispatch and warehouse teams. Responsibilities:
Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computer
Valid CDL with a least 2 years' occupational driving experience
Must possess a valid CDL with a satisfactory driving record.
Must have airbrake endorsement
Must have up-to-date medical card
Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch and twist

Due to DOT regulations this would still have an overnight stay in Bronx, NY.
Outstanding problem solving and time management abilities
Help maintain fleet vehicles by keeping them clean and ensuring they are empty and secure when returned as well as flag any potential maintenance issues to our Fleet Management
Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law
Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance
Always adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
