- RESPONSIBILITIES This role will be responsible for leading day-to-day EHS activities, supervising and developing EHS personnel, overseeing contractor safety, conducting incident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and supporting compliance with OSHA, EPA, USCG, and applicable maritime regulations.
- The position will also support vessel testing, launch and recovery operations, confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, and emergency response readiness.
- Without this position, the organization faces increased safety, compliance, and operational risks, reduced field presence, delayed program implementation, and diminished support for production and vessel testing activities.
- The EHS Shipyard Supervisor will provide support to both the Franklin shipyard and global mission services.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer - Occasional standing and walking within the office - Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment - Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports - Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies - Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
