Medical Science Liaison

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain scientific relationships with oncology healthcare providers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within a defined territory. •
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and clinically relevant education on Natera’s oncology molecular diagnostics and clinical data . •
  • Execute against territory plans aligned to Medical Affairs priorities with speed and agility . •
  • Identify and communicate field insights, including oncology treatment trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive dynamics. •
  • Support execution of Medical Affairs initiatives, including advisory boards and medical education programs. •
  • Collaborate across teams with commercial and clinical functions to ensure organizational alignment for patient care while maintaining absolute scientific integrity . •
  • Ensure all field activities are strictly compliant with company policies and external healthcare regulations. •
  • Support and coordinate clinical trial and research initiatives at academic institutions and regional study sites . •
  • Maintain ownership of field execution by accurately tracking territory engagement and documenting actionable clinical insights . •
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the capacity to adjust quickly to unexpected clinical tasks or strategy shifts . •

Requirements

  • The MSL operates with a high degree of ownership and urgency, delivering advanced genetic testing data that changes patient outcomes when timing and accuracy matter most .
  • Maintain an expert understanding of oncology disease states, clinical data, and the evolving diagnostics landscape. •
  • Advanced healthcare or scientific degree preferred (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., D.N.P.), with a minimum of a Master's degree required. •
  • experience in oncology or molecular diagnostics preferred . •
  • Experience establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with internal teams and external customers . •
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong team-oriented work ethic . •
  • This is a remote, field-based position requiring daily use of a computer and the ability to travel extensively. •
  • Must maintain current status on all Natera organizational training requirements.
