Director, Life Sciences (Business Development)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive sponsor engagement, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships.
  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with key decision-makers across clinical development, clinical operations, medical affairs, and strategic outsourcing functions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and deal execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tailored clinical trial solutions that align with sponsor needs and organizational capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity forecasting and pipeline management within CRM systems.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Iterative Health's value proposition, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
  • experience in business development, strategic partnerships, clinical research, life sciences, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical trial ecosystem, including sponsors, CROs, site networks, and research operations.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage enterprise-level relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities. Preferred
  • Experience supporting clinical trials within cardiology, gastroenterology, hepatology, obesity, , immunology, or related therapeutic areas. •
  • Experience within a CRO, site network, clinical trial technology company, healthcare technology organization, or sponsor organization.
  • Knowledge of decentralized, technology-enabled, or AI-driven clinical research solutions.
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, MS, PharmD, or PhD. •
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and driving expansion opportunities within existing partnerships.
