Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and sustains Lean transformation strategies aligned with the IDEXX Excellence System.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate brings management experience, possesses robust problem-solving skills and has a proven track record of implementing Lean principles within an operating system to achieve measurable results. PRIMARY DUTIES AND
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency in Lean methodologies and operating system deployment Ability to organize, prioritize and direct work activities.
- Experience with ERP systems and process mapping software General business knowledge required, including specific knowledge of businesses supported.
- Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Fluency in the English language Travel required.
Experience
- REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 7+ years of management skills and ability.
- Typically 7+ years' Supervisory/Managerial experience, with in-depth experience in the areas managed.

- As the Senior Lean Operations Manager , you will lead all aspects of work driving continuous improvement culture and embedding Lean principles across the IDEXX enterprise.
- Managing a team of Lean Leaders, you will be responsible for supporting the IDEXX Excellence System, driving process optimization and productivity improvements.
- Conducts value stream mapping to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Establishes and monitors KPIs to track continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborates with leadership to prioritize improvement opportunities and allocate resources.
- Manages staff and/or supervisors of the Lean team within Operational Excellence, planning and assigning work, monitoring activities and evaluating performance.
- Administers employment actions, provides coaching and guidance to staff and promotes staff training and development.
- Contributes to development of strategy and direction.
- May coordinate work of outside vendors and contractors.
- Communicates with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.
