Requirements

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Radiologic Technologist, Registered RT(R), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required.
Life Support: Must have AHA BLS-Provider and AHA ACLS certification and maintain current status. Other Minimum

Participates as part of procedure team to provide specific patient care functions such as transport, sheath removal, closure site care, etc. Participates in providing and assuring informed consent and patient education.

Delivers quality service through a team-oriented, collaborative approach to care for adult and geriatric patients. provides direct assistance to physicians and patient to achieve optimum outcomes.
Prepares patient and technically advanced equipment for advanced invasive procedures. The CVT I Assists physician with direct patient care during catheterization or interventional procedures in the scrub, circulator, and monitor positions.
Delivers quality service through a team-oriented, collaborative approach to care for adult and geriatric patients.
Provides direct assistance to physicians and patient to achieve optimum outcomes.
Prepares patient and technically advanced equipment for advanced invasive procedures.
Advises and plans with physicians on procedural strategies and supplies.
Assures patient, physician, and team needs are met during procedure.
Serves as patient advocate, advising on medication for patient needs.
Obtains and sets up procedural supplies and equipment.
