Responsibilities
- Build and evaluate prototypes using a range of techniques, including additive manufacturing and hands-on fabrication methods.
- Design and conduct testing, including verification and validation activities, to demonstrate that designs meet
- Solve design problems using scientific analysis from first principles, simulation tools and empirical methods.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of designs and testing.
- As our successful candidate, you will be ready to: Take responsibility for developing components, considering how design decisions impact product performance, manufacturability, and the end-user experience.
Requirements
- experience: You will have: 2+ years of Industry experince A curious, innovative and analytical mind Excellent communication skills and be a team player A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with 3D CAD modelling – we use Creo, but
- experience in any CAD package is acceptable. Good to have skills : Engineering
- experience in a product development role, preferably within medical devices or another highly regulated industry Particular interest or
- experience in fluid dynamics, acoustics, pneumatic systems, pumps/blowers or electro-mechanical systems
- Experience with ANSYS CFD

- This role is in the Pressure Systems Mechanical sub-team, which designs components and subsystems that deliver pressurised air to treat sleep apnoea and other respiratory conditions. Let's talk about

- Work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with industrial designers and engineers from mechanical, electronics, systems, software, and manufacturing disciplines.

- Communicate progress, technical challenges, and risks proactively with project team members and stakeholders.
- Participate in risk management activities, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating design risks through processes such as DFMEA.
- Work within Resmed’s Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Actively develop your technical skills, apply Resmed engineering best practices, and share new learning that enhances team capability and improves ways of working.
