Requirements

Provides age-appropriate care utilizing knowledge of life span development.
Exercise sound judgment in interpreting laws, regulations, and organizational policies, with awareness of potential impacts on reimbursement, HR, and clinical pathways. What We Require: Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.
For Psychiatry and Behavioral Health - de-escalation training must be successfully completed within four months of hire. Other minimum
qualifications: Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).
Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
Must possess ability to appropriately handle/restrain patients who may be disruptive and/or physically violent.

Serves as a communication bridge between staff and management, ensuring two-way feedback and timely resolution of issues.

Attends local and organizational management meetings, representing the unit and contributing to broader initiatives.
Ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CLIA, OSHA).
Supports fiscal management by maintaining staffing levels, controlling expenses, and contributing to budget planning.
Leads quality improvement initiatives, including patient satisfaction and performance metrics.
