Responsibilities

Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
Operate vehicles including automobiles, pickup trucks, trucks, and truck tractors with trailer or semi-trailer coupled by use of a turntable or pintle hook.

Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Essential
Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older. High School diploma/equivalent is required. At least 5 years of general driving experience with a clean record.
Must have and maintain a valid state, Class A, CDL Driver’s License with a Hazardous Materials Endorsement.
Must be willing and able to be trained to operate forklift/fork truck or material handling lifting devices.
Ability to communicate clearly during normal and crisis situations.
Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain/maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Benefits: This position falls under the local Union and comes with; medical, vision, dental, STD and life insurance, PTO–120 hours per year, accrued at 4.62 hours per pay period, Sick leave–One (1) hour of accrual for every thirty (30) hours worked, Paid Holidays-Eleven (11) per calendar year, 401K, and an employee stock option plan.

Amentum is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator - CDL to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot.
The Motor Vehicle Operator - CDL will operate vehicles including automobiles, pickup trucks, and truck tractors with trailer or semi-trailer coupled by use of a turntable or pintle hook.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
Responsibilities Include: Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
Work in close proximity to a demilitarization facility.
Couples and uncouples trailers by manipulating fifth wheel, pintle hooks, lunettes, safety chains, brake hoses, and electrical connections.
Follows Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials. Performs work
responsibilities with supervisory guidance, applying accepted craft or trade techniques, good housekeeping practices, and safe, efficient work procedures.
Develops load data and distributes and secures cargo accordingly.
