Responsibilities
- Maintain PLCs, pneumatic and electronic control valves, transmitters, switches, regulators, gas quality devices, gas line heaters, chart recorders, gas measurement equipment, and odorizers Assemble, install, test, and maintain instrumentation, electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power tools Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment such as actuators, valves, stem seals, and other components.
- Perform diagnostic tests, accuracy tests, calibrations, and replacements of various equipment and instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow, speed, and vibration), gages, transmitters and controllers with test equipment such as a Hart Communicator, TREX and Fluke meter Compile prepare and maintain records related to DOT audits, accuracy test, calibrations, equipment changes, relief valves test and gas analysis Locate and mark underground facilities per 811 Plan and lead pipeline isolation and gas
- Monitor contractor activity on-site.
- Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify
- Support US Regulatory Compliance and external inspection agencies on integrated and field inspections.
- Maintain facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities Oversee and manage pipeline or utility crossings and encroachments coordinating all work around facilities with private, state and federal landowners, contractors, and customers Identify, investigate and address encroachments and aerial patrol observations Perform other duties as required at compressor stations, M&R stations, storage and pipeline facilities Minimum
- Maintain a safe driving record Obtain operator
Requirements
- experience of high-pressure natural gas pipeline, gas measurement, compression, and cathodic protection systems.
- The successful candidate must reside within 30 miles or 45 minutes of the reporting location to comply with emergency response requirements.
- Depending on the candidate's qualifications, they may be offered a position at the appropriate skill level and/or career ladder.
- Complete work orders, enter data, and create new work orders in SAP / BlueWorx and other task specific programs.
- Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous related industry experience Preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software
- Experience with maintaining control systems
- Experience using various types of gas measurement testing equipment
- Experience maintaining control systems Thorough understanding of the test equipment used Ability to interpret technical reference documents and P&ID drawings
- Experience in repairing, remediating pipeline issues and locating/marking pipelines
- Experience with valve and relief valve operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair
- experience is considered a plus This position requires candidates to Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a TC Energy DOT driver status.

- (6504) Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing Be available for call-out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and work extended days and/or weeks for emergency response purposes Be willing to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training, which may involve overnight stays away from home Be able to work in adverse weather and temperature conditions, as well as cramped spaces Physical
