Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, and platform plugins using Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Create features that automate infrastructure and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support consistent, secure, and reliable deployments.
• Support and guide application teams through containerization and modern deployment patterns.

Requirements

• Evolent Health International (Pune, India) has been certified as “Great Places to Work” in 2021.
• Enable container-based application delivery using Docker, Kubernetes, with a focus on AKS and Azure Container Apps.
• Qualifications Strong background as a software engineer, building backend services, internal tools, or platforms. Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred).
• Experience designing APIs and systems. Solid understanding of software design principles, testing strategies, and code quality standards.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible. Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Git-based CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, etc.). Preferred
• Qualifications Familiarity with CNCF projects such as ArgoCD, Kyverno and KEDA.
• Education & Certifications No specific education or certifications required for this role.
• General Performance Criteria Expertise: Recognized as a go-to resource for specialized methods and continuously seeks to expand expertise.
• Domain: Demonstrates understanding of how work impacts stakeholders and business outcomes.
