Responsibilities

Manage risk and ensure business and compliance needs are accurately reflected in agreements.
Develop and deliver training on legal issues and contract processes.
Support continuous improvements of forms, policies and processes to help streamline, simplify and automate our contracting processes (including through the use of AI tools).

experience with a successful, high-growth enterprise SaaS company.
Law degree from a reputable university and current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility to hold one)
The ability to think and execute both strategically and tactically.
Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Experience working with highly regulated cloud customers (e.g., FinServ, healthcare, etc.) and/or
experience supporting the sale of generative AI offerings (and negotiation of associated terms), is a plus.
Experience in public sector contracting at state and/or federal level is a plus.
Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) solutions and AI-enabled tools is a plus.

We are looking for a creative and pragmatic problem solver to serve on our world-class Commercial Legal team, reporting to the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel, APJ.
This role is based in our Sydney or Melbourne office with an in-person requirement of at least 3 days per week. RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely and partner with Sales teams on SaaS transactions that drive company revenue.
Structure, negotiate, and close complex sales transactional agreements.
Provide sound advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to senior business leaders.
Work well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Respond promptly to the demands of an active technology sales team and their management.
Keep abreast of the rapidly evolving legal landscape affecting our expanding portfolio of service features.
