- As Fieldguide's Audit Engineer, you’ll join a small, specialized team working at the intersection of audit expertise, product development, and AI.
- This role is ideal for someone who understands how audits work today—but is excited to rethink how they should work in an AI-driven future.
- 📍 Location: San Francisco (in-person) What You’ll Do - Help design the AI-powered workflows that will define the future of audit and assurance.
- requirements to ensure the product meets the standards required for professional services workflows. - Collaborate with our ML team to develop AI agent capabilities that assist with tasks such as document analysis, testing procedures, and evidence evaluation. - Help rethink long-standing audit processes and shape how AI can augment professional judgment.
- Who You Are - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. - CPA license or Master’s degree in Accounting. - 4–10 years of
- experience in audit at a leading public accounting firm. -
- Experience at the Manager level or above is strongly preferred. -
- Experience auditing financial statements end-to-end, including designing and executing audit workpapers across financial statement areas. - Strong understanding of U.S.
- Experience performing financial statement audits end-to-end, including planning and risk assessment, evaluating internal controls (ICFR), executing substantive testing across key balance sheet and income statement areas, and reviewing financial statements and disclosures. -
- Experience working across multiple clients and industries. - Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy. - Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear product requirements. - Strong prioritization skills and the ability to focus on the highest-impact work.
