- Job Profile Summary Performs an advanced level of activities involved in the design and maintenance of corrosion control systems.
- Responsibilities Provide advanced level of support with installation, maintenance, and monitoring of corrosion control systems Non-Destructive Testing on facilities Install, test, adjust, and/or repair rectifiers, anodes, and test points Troubleshoot and repair interference/foreign contact problems Perform continuity tests and soil resistivity surveys and other special surveys Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair cathodic protection tools and equipment Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on
- Experience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of cathodic protection tools and equipment
- Experience with facility/system operations
- Experience working with pipe coating, basic chemistry, electronics, and metallurgy
- Experience reading and interpreting maps, drawings, procedures, survey results, plats, atlas pages, rectifier reports, and applicable operation and repair manuals Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to: apply basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions Ability to: work in confined areas and on elevated surfaces Ability to: react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
- Ability to: drive for extended periods Licenses and Certifications NACE Cathodic Protection Certification/Corrosion Certification preferred Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - JOB SUMMARY As a Corrosion Technician (Senior/Intermediate), you will be responsible for preserving the integrity of our pipeline systems and infrastructure.
- You will conduct routine field surveys, troubleshoot cathodic protection systems, and ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
- Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
