Responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve complex technical, manufacturing, and quality issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Develop and implement scalable inspection, testing, and validation processes to ensure precision, reliability, and accuracy of supplier products and manufacturing processes.
- Lead and execute Supplier Process Validation activities as part of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Supplier Change Requests.
- Drive and manage supplier‑initiated process change control, ensuring risk is identified and mitigated.
- Build and maintain strong, trust‑based partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, influencing outcomes through collaboration.
- Identify, plan, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and improve quality and delivery performance.
- Coach and support suppliers in the use of quality prevention tools, Lean principles, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead technical supplier assessments and capability development, guiding suppliers on appropriate manufacturing technologies, processes, and methods aligned with ResMed’s business needs.
- Mentor, develop, and support Supplier Engineers and Graduate Engineers, contributing to a growing supplier engineering capability in the region. Let's Talk About Qualifications and
Requirements
- Responsibilities: Apply advanced engineering knowledge to initiate and lead supplier performance improvement programs, with a strong focus on supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Experience: Required Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline (electro‑mechanical background preferred). 8+ years of engineering
- experience within a manufacturing environment (e.g., Manufacturing, Process, Quality, or Industrial Engineering). Strong
- experience managing supplier quality and performance, including parts quality for high‑volume manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and build structure in a developing environment.
- Experience supporting new product and process introduction into production.
- Proven ability to influence, mentor, and build capability in others through technical leadership.
