Responsibilities
- Build quality into digital health from day one.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Cucumber, or equivalent technologies.
- Create risk-based smoke, regression, functional, and exploratory testing coverage for critical user journeys.
- Validate workflows including assessment entry, questionnaire completion, eligibility outcomes, account creation, consent management, partner handoffs, reporting, and analytics events.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, architects, QA specialists, security, data, and support teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Investigate defects, flaky tests, environment issues, integration failures, and data-related problems using logs, traces, screenshots, and reproducible evidence.
- Support release readiness through regression planning, defect triage, testing activities, documentation, and risk communication.
- Monitor automation coverage, identify gaps and duplication, and recommend improvements that strengthen product quality.

- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test generation, automation maintenance, and failure analysis while ensuring outputs are accurate, maintainable, and appropriate.
- Help shape best practices for responsible AI usage within quality engineering.
- What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding. Professional
- experience in software testing, quality engineering, or software development in test.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches and the ability to apply the right level of testing based on risk. Hands-on
- experience developing and maintaining automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of web application testing, including browser behaviour, responsive design, accessibility fundamentals, validation, error handling, and end-to-end user journeys.
- Experience testing REST APIs and backend services. Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, ideally including AWS environments and associated services.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Git, GitHub Actions, Docker, and automated quality validation.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and agile development practices.
- Ability to analyse defects, identify likely root causes, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Interest in AI-assisted testing and the responsible use of AI tools to improve quality engineering.
- Understanding of data and analytics validation principles.
- Nice to have Exposure to analytics, funnel, event, or reporting validation.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools in cloud environments.

- As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll help ensure the reliability, quality, and performance of cloud-based digital health solutions that support people on their journey from sleep-health screening through diagnosis and treatment.
- Working within a collaborative engineering team focused on OSA Pathways, you'll drive test automation, improve release confidence, and help shape quality practices across web applications, APIs, cloud services, data flows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- The role is offered as a hybrid position with 2–3 days per week onsite in our Dublin, Sandyford office.
- What You'll Do Design, develop, test, and maintain automated checks across web applications, APIs, backend services, and system integrations.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines so automated tests provide meaningful feedback during development, pull requests, releases, and production readiness activities.
- Participate in code reviews, test reviews, and architectural discussions with a focus on testability, reliability, observability, and user risk.
