Autonomous Vehicle Operations Specialist II

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that operations during each shift follow rigorous safety guidelines; continuously develop a culture of safety that is beyond reproach
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and handle escalations that could negatively impact operations
  • Create a work environment that values all team members
  • Monitor health of vehicles at all times using company tools for observation
  • Ensure all vehicles (and AVOs where applicable) are being monitored while in operation
  • Test software changes with focus on safety and communicate clear feedback
  • Train and certify new AVOs following approved curriculum (where applicable)
  • Collaborate with other sites to maintain consistency and best practices for all; update documentation accordingly

Requirements

  • Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, May develops and deploys autonomous vehicles (AVs) powered by our innovative Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology that literally reimagines the way AVs think.
  • experience for our riders, Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs), and customers by coordinating daily logistics as well as supporting our Autonomous Vehicles during operations.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new software and processes
  • Understanding of best practices when it comes to top-notch customer service
  • Ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with a laptop and Google suite applications (Gmail, sheets, docs, etc.) Qualifications and Experience
  • experience in a fast-adapting and customer-focused environment
  • Associates degree or higher in Business, Technical Operations, or related area Prior
  • experience in operations or logistics
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders (infrequent)
