Responsibilities
- Manufacture prototype components using manual mill, manual lathe, hand tools, and basic shop equipment.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers for rapid prototyping.
- Perform basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology tools.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas according to shop standards.
- Document work performed, ensuring traceability and quality compliance aligned with medical device development processes. What will you need to be successful?
Requirements
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, following tolerances and surface finish requirements.
- Technical certificate or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of machining principles and mechanical drawings. Hands-on
- experience with manual machines or 3D printers is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and develop new manufacturing skills.
