Requirements
- Selection criteria will also include an interview, pre-employment written and hands-on assessment that will take place at an Xcel training facility.
- Summary The qualified candidate will be able to perform mechanical maintenance and related tasks at a reliable coal fired, gas, or steam generating station.
- Requirements Must have completed a Millwright Apprentice program, or have 5+ years in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance, or documented related mechanical training.
- Must be able to wear negative air respirator or PAPR and lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in hot or cold environments, work in dusty, noisy, low light environments, perform tasks that involve standing, bending, twisting and lifting for 10 - 16 hour periods and perform other physical tasks associated with mechanical maintenance duties at a reliable coal fired, gas, or steam generating station.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
