Production Control Clerk II

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and alleviate identified work order part shortages by working closely with Purchasing, Quality and Production Planners.
  • Update and prioritize the rework board in the production area, coordinating with production planners Proactively monitoring and expediting identified shortage parts that are in ‘inspection’ status, through quality, stockroom and onto work orders that are waiting for shortage parts.
  • Issue items in a timely manner to work orders that are being collected and processed in the sell-off area.

Requirements

  • Work with Quality to ensure identified shortage parts do not sit in SMRB for an extraordinarily long period Follows established procedures on routine work and may require instruction on new assignments Maintains a clean and safe work environment Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues Other duties as assigned Basic
  • Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience) Minimum of 1-2 years of
  • experience in a production environment Hands-on
  • experience with MRP systems, material planning, inventory control and the generation and maintenance of work orders is required Knowledge of computerized MRP systems is critical High School diploma or GED Equivalent required Any APICS training and/or certification is desirable, especially as it pertains to inventory control and material planning Other
