Requirements
- Molecular testing via PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and Fragment analysis
- Use of analyzer and other molecular diagnostic methods to generate STR (short tandem repeats) profiles of samples
- Performs other duties as assigned. What do you need to succeed? EDUCATION: 4-year degree in Science-related field preferred, or current coursework.
- Ability to set up high-throughput molecular reactions, specifically PCR (Polymerase Chain reaction) reactions.
- Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
- Personal computer skills, including strong typing ability and proficient use of Microsoft Office. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person.
- Fluency in the English language.
