Requirements

Molecular testing via PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and Fragment analysis
Use of analyzer and other molecular diagnostic methods to generate STR (short tandem repeats) profiles of samples
Performs other duties as assigned. What do you need to succeed? EDUCATION: 4-year degree in Science-related field preferred, or current coursework.
Ability to set up high-throughput molecular reactions, specifically PCR (Polymerase Chain reaction) reactions.
Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.
Personal computer skills, including strong typing ability and proficient use of Microsoft Office. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person.
Fluency in the English language.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Hearing acuity sufficient to effectively communicate with customers and Employees via telephone and in person.

Schedule: This is a full time (40 hr/wk) day shift position with hours Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm (but could be flexible).
Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
Adherence to attendance-related policies and expectations is critical to this position.
