Responsibilities

  • - Support new product development by prototyping early development hardware to learn the design limitations.
  • - Execute on design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
  • - Identify opportunities for risk reduction and removal of complexity in designs and processes to improve manufacturability, collaborating with integrated product teams to drive improvements and address high-impact and repeating non-conformances.

Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Proven understanding of electrical engineering principles, including design integrations into complex systems -
  • Experience in wire harnessing, radios, transmissions, and integrating systems is a plus -
  • Experience in designing electrical systems for complex projects, preferably in the automotive, maritime or defense industry.
  • - Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems, such as IEEE, IEC, and ABS is a plus - Familiarity with programming languages and software development practices is a plus.
  • - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.

  • - Source, retain, and advise new and experienced vendors from a technical perspective.
  • - Dive deep into the details to identify, understand, and solve difficult technical problems and also utilize a system-level approach to prioritize issues for the vessel as a whole.
