Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies, programs and policies that reduce risk of injuries, illness and environmental incidents in the AP business unit.
- Lead continuous improvement of EHS management systems, programs and policies.
Requirements
- He/She will participate in AP leadership meetings and workshops to provide strategic direction/alignments on EHS and sustainability (water, carbon, etc.).
- experience leading an EHS function (within a manufacturing setting)
- Experience working with other functions of the business (i.e., Manufacturing, Marketing, Research and Development [R&D], Supply Chain, etc.) Required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environment Health and Safety or a related field Desired; Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety or a related field Key Skills Ability to communicate and influence with all levels of leadership (including organized labor) Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) Knowledge of Microsoft systems

- The Director Environmental, Health, Safety and Business Continuity will lead the development/implementation of strategies and policies that ensure sustainability, health, environmental and safety systems (behavior and physical improvements/changes) are in place that enable sustained improvement for the Asia Pacific (AP) region.
- This position will ensure compliance to the Goodyear reporting standards and processes.
- The incumbent will drive the environmental, health and safety (EHS) systems/tools integration into the AP business and follow the implementation to ensure success.
- This role will lead and address the establishment and publication of internal/external metrics and reports that demonstrate world-class performance to our shareholders, customers, associates, neighbors, public interest groups, government agencies and other marketplace stakeholders.
