Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

Support on-time delivery of equipment to meet operational requirements.
Record maintenance activities, labor hours, equipment movements, work orders, parts usage, and other maintenance data within computerized maintenance management systems.
Support repair and refurbishment programs, including the reuse of approved parts where applicable.
Maintain compliance with competency management requirements, company procedures, and safety standards.
Collaborate with maintenance personnel and other team members to achieve operational objectives.

experience gained through education, internships, apprenticeships, or previous work experience.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical diploma, mechanical trades training, or related education is considered an asset. Previous hands-on mechanical
experience through work, co-op placements, internships, apprenticeships, or personal projects is an asset.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
Ability to interpret procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities Perform maintenance activities on assigned equipment in accordance with maintenance programs, standard work instructions, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
Follow established maintenance procedures and product line standards.
Assist in improving equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and productivity within the maintenance base.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving equipment turnaround times, and enhancing asset utilization.
Assist with failure investigations and root cause analysis activities as assigned.
