Requirements

  • Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility) National board certification DEA registration (or ability to obtain) Previous internal medicine or primary care
  • What We Require: Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Experience: 0 Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
  • Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
  • Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

  • Position Overview The APP will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in an outpatient internal medicine setting.
  • Responsibilities Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions Perform health assessments, preventive care, and patient education Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and care team members Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
