Responsibilities
- Check and monitor plant equipment and systems daily to ensure proper operation and detect problems as they occur.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must understand equipment operating principles, operating parameters, interlocks, alarms, and how the equipment functions within its respective system.
- The Hydrogen Operator must have exceptional attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and must understand the purpose and function of the equipment and systems within the plant.
- Responsible for normal operation, startup, and shutdown of all major and auxiliary equipment and systems in the plant following approved operating procedures Perform basic maintenance on equipment such as changing oil, greasing, changing filters, filtering oil, cleaning (e.g.
- Experience High School Diploma, or GED Minimum of one (1) year of prior
- experience in a manufacturing operation or chemical industry preferred Valid Driver's License Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs Ability to work in inclement weather for short periods of time Ability to travel up to 15% of the time Ability to wear all required safety equipment and work in confined spaces Ability to pass a respirator physical and wear all personal protective equipment (e.g., mask, glasses, etc.) Work a 12-hour swing shift schedule which includes days, nights, weekends and some holidays
- Experience and ability operating and monitoring electric generators, chillers, compressors, and auxiliary equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, etc.) preferred Knowledge in making necessary equipment adjustments, log significant observations, record daily meter readings and maintain daily operating logs Ability to prioritize and execute responsibilities effectively.
