Requirements
- Participates in the Nurse Residency Program to develop clinical judgment, critical thinking, leadership skills, and professional confidence.
- Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
- Attends required Nurse Residency Program sessions and completes associated assignments. What We Require: Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
- Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required with less than 1 year of experience.
- For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within 1 year of hire and maintained.
- Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area. Other Minimum
- Qualifications: Must attend required Nurse Residency Program sessions.
- Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.
- Career Advancement Program: RNs are eligible to participate in the Career Advancement Program (CAP) to attain various levels of advancement based on performance criteria.
