Requirements
- Candidates must live close to Bridgeport, Decatur, or Ponder, TX, or be willing to relocate to be considered.
- experience with pipeline operations and natural gas transmission.
- Responsibilities Perform pipeline operations and maintenance activities on systems including compressor stations, gas storages, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment which may include, but is not limited to: Startup and shutdown Pigging Collecting liquids Changing charts Gauging tanks Locating and marking lines Monitoring cathodic protection/basic pipe coatings Leakage survey/patrolling pipelines Blowing drips Perform and/or dispatch line locates
- Experience Following job related experience required:
- Experience in various field functions including measurement, cathodic protection, and compressor/pump station operations
- Experience in maintenance and the repair of equipment Experience, training and/or knowledge of: Company and governmental operating/safety procedures and environmental regulations Characteristics of natural gas and gas liquids Pigging pipelines, blowing drips, gauging tanks, and collecting liquids Construction methods
- Experience in patrolling pipelines, performing leakage surveys, and locating/marking lines
- Experience in working with valves and dehydration equipment, scrubbers, and separators
- Experience in use and function of applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word, etc.
- Experience interacting, negotiating, advising and communicating effectively and in exchanging written and verbal information and instructions Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: cathodic protection/corrosion control activities Ability to: use tools and equipment including computers and related software Ability to: establish, prioritize assignments and complete assignments in a timely manner with limited supervision Ability to: use logic and reasoning to identify alternate solutions or approaches
