Requirements
- Description The MADXR (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) is the latest generation of avionics system installed onboard surveillance airplanes and helicopters which allows for real time detection of submarines ( hyperlink to product demo).
- As a member of the Hardware Engineering team, the Systems Engineer will contribute to the qualification, delivery, and integration of the MAD‑XR (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) avionics system on customer aircraft platforms.
- Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related field 3–5 years of professional
- experience in avionics or electronic systems engineering
- Experience in integration, validation, and troubleshooting of avionics and/or electronic systems
- Experience working with aircraft or helicopter platforms and avionics products Ability to design and execute system‑level test activities Ability to produce clear, customer‑facing technical documentation Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, fast‑evolving environment and manage ambiguity Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences Eligibility to obtain NATO security clearance Ability to meet the
- Qualifications Knowledge of MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑704, MIL‑STD‑464, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑202, and/or DO‑160 Knowledge of C and Python; C# considered an asset
- Experience developing software interfacing with equipment and/or microcontrollers Knowledge of aircraft systems and flight dynamics Autonomous field experience; Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license considered an asset Interest in and ability to learn the physics of magnetometers and apply this knowledge to product improvement Bilingualism (English and French)
