Responsibilities
- Own systems integration and validation activities to ensure the platform performs as designed, complementing unit-level testing performed within the team
- Define and develop metrics to verify that the system and its subsystems satisfy feature and system requirements
- Create and maintain requirement specifications by:
- Develop and maintain
- Identify, negotiate, and resolve cross-functional trade-offs and conflicts across the entire development process, gaining buy-in from impacted teams
- Evaluate industry and regulatory
- Identify gaps in processes and propose solutions for resolution
Requirements
- Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, May develops and deploys autonomous vehicles (AVs) powered by our innovative Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology that literally reimagines the way AVs think.
- Leverage a system level understanding of our products and technologies to support cross-functional engineering efforts
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Understanding of agile startup and engineering principles and mindset
- Ability to display systems thinking and attention to detail
- Detailed knowledge of
- Demonstrated ability to lead system integration and validation across hardware and software domains
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams and external partners
- Working knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic (E/E) architecture and in-vehicle networking
- Strong working knowledge of ADAS/Autonomous Vehicle systems Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university 5+ years
- experience in automotive engineering working on software, hardware, or combined hardware/software products Desirable
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience •
- Experience supporting OEM platform programs or working directly with OEM partners
- Knowledge of automotive and autonomous vehicle technologies, such as LIDAR, radar, ethernet, and CAN • Experience with
- Experience in Autonomous Vehicles, Machine Learning, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), or Mobile Applications •
