Environmental Coordinator

Responsibilities

Evaluate, audit, and approve waste vendors to ensure safe, compliant transportation, recycling, and disposal of plant waste materials.
Manage environmental financial and compliance reporting, including Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and FIN‑47 requirements.
Review and approve facility, process, and material changes to assess and mitigate potential environmental impacts and permit implications.
Oversee environmental permitting, including identifying requirements, calculating emissions, preparing applications, and negotiating terms with regulators.
Ensure regulatory compliance by interpreting applicable federal, state, and local regulations; conducting compliance audits; and implementing corrective actions as needed.

What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a related technical, science, or engineering discipline.
Experience in a management or professional role within a mid‑size or moderately complex manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
Demonstrated background managing environmental and operational projects, including independently leading small to medium projects and contributing to larger, more complex initiatives, with a track record of developing and implementing environmental programs.
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations; project planning and execution; contractor and consultant management; cost and return‑on‑investment analysis; and effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. #LI-FM1 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
