Requirements
- To be successful in this role you must have strong written and oral communication skills to present updates to a variety of audiences with confidence.
- You will apply your keen quantitative skills to solve the formidable mechanical challenges of precision optical payload subsystems. Basic
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, optical sciences, or related field
- Experience with standard design tools applied to optomechanical design from among CREO, NASTRAN/NX, MATLAB, Solid Works, CATIA, ZEMAX, Python, and/or other relevant assets
- Experience with specification development, vendor interface, parts selection, and/or configuration control
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required Desired Skills: 2+ years of
- experience with developing mechanical solutions for optical payloads or working with related precision mechanisms and some optical experience
- experience with electro-optical systems including or related to remote sensing systems, astronomical telescopes, lasers, and laboratory optical diagnostic instrumentation
- Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

- Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260.
- For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
