Brokerage Accounting Manager (Japan Securities Entity)

Responsibilities

Manage accounting operations for a regulated securities business
Perform accounting for securities transactions and customer assets
Calculate, monitor, and validate the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR)
Support the development of capital plans and capital strategies aligned with business growth objectives
Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to the Financial Services Agency (FSA), Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA), and other regulatory bodies
Support accounting and finance activities related to regulatory compliance requirements
Manage general accounting operations for the corporate entity
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Oversee payment operations, including invoice processing and employee expense reimbursements
Manage cash flow and treasury activities
Prepare financial statements and supporting accounting schedules Other Responsibilities
Support accounting system implementation and migration projects

Who You Are (Must-Haves): Hands-on accounting
experience within a securities firm
experience within a corporate environment •
Experience managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Knowledge of financial accounting and management accounting principles
Knowledge of, or practical
experience with, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) calculations and regulatory capital requirements
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Experience working in a global company or multinational team environment •
Experience leading ERP or accounting system implementation and migration projects •
Experience driving process improvement and operational standardization initiatives •
