Responsibilities
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and DoD specifications. - Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all manufacturing activities comply with OSHA, ISO, and military standards.
- - CNC Programming: Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining processes for complex components used in autonomous maritime systems.
Requirements
- experience programming CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) and a deep understanding of machining processes and quality standards.
- - Toolpath Development: Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to generate efficient and precise toolpaths, ensuring high-quality output and minimal machine downtime.
- experience in CNC programming, preferably in a high-precision manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or similar industries). -
- Experience working with CNC mills, lathes, routers, and other precision machines.
- - Familiarity with autonomous systems, maritime technology, or defense industry standards is a plus.
- - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar).
- - Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and other CNC programming languages.
- - Knowledge of machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, EDM, etc.) and tooling.
- - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines, programs, and tooling.
- - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- - Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documentation.
- - Familiarity with military and defense specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
