Requirements
- A high level of importance is placed on quality, timeliness, customer service, effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- You maintain proficiency and develop diagnostic skills through regular continuing education.
- What You Will Need to Succeed: You are a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
- Pathology Board Certified - American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Pathology (ECVP/ECVCP) preferred.
- You are eligible to practice veterinary medicine in South Africa.
- You are fluent in English You are familiar with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
- Computer skills are required.
- Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory is preferred.

- As an Anatomic or C linical Pathologist the majority of your duties involve, but are not limited to, providing clients with diagnostic evaluation in the area of anatomic or clinical pathology and providing necessary follow-up consultation.

- In This Role: You are responsible for gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical and anatomic pathology specimens and preparation of pathology reports in a timely manner.
- You will meet caseload and turnaround expectations.
- You are responsible for providing telephone and email consultations to clients.
- You consult with and assist other pathologists as needed to promote collegiality.
- You will partner with, advise and assist laboratory personnel in proper specimen processing techniques and function as the pathologist on duty.
- You promote the growth of IDEXX by actively participating in pathologist meetings and developing and maintaining professional relationships/contact with clients.
