Responsibilities
- Design and build foundational frontend systems, components, tools, and patterns used by engineers across Braze
- Lead large projects end-to-end, including technical design, implementation, testing, rollout, and operational follow-through
- Build customer-facing product experiences that are polished, accessible, performant, and consistent with Braze’s product standards
- Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, technical guidance, and clear communication
- Extending the design system with semantic tokens and supporting a product rebrand
- Building type-safe scaffolding and API tooling for frontend development
- Frontend build, packaging, and code generation tooling Ruby on Rails WHO YOU ARE
- Experience building design systems or component libraries •
Requirements
- experience of working in a large TypeScript and React codebase through better abstractions, tooling, documentation, and examples
- Parts of our stack with which you will work: TypeScript, React
- experience with a strong track record of technical impact
- Are highly skilled in modern frontend development, especially TypeScript and React Have
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Cypress or Jest •
- Experience with code generation, linting, codemods, or other developer tooling •
- Experience with internationalization, localization, or accessibility •
- Experience with Ruby on Rails

- For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $128,842 and $209,368/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $144,000 and $234,000/year (including bonus or commission).
