Responsibilities
- Calculate and record book-to-tax adjustments, deferred taxes, state apportionments, and other tax-related workpapers to support monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
- Support ASC 740 tax provision activities, including reconciliations of federal and state tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Support IRS and state audit activities by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and substantiating tax positions to help minimize risk and exposure.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and support implementation efforts related to new compliance requirements, process improvements, and internal controls.
- Support special projects, tax planning initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across the broader tax function.
Requirements
- What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of
- experience in corporate tax compliance within public accounting and/or large corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance, tax provisions, and multinational corporate tax concepts.
- Foundational understanding of ASC 740 and deferred tax accounting principles under U.S. GAAP.
- Experience working in deadline-driven environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting tax functions within manufacturing, consumer goods, or other complex multinational organizations.
- Proficiency with tax and ERP systems such as Corptax and SAP, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts to business partners.
